Mechanical Service Tech

Our client is a leading provider of transport maintenance services across Australia. Due to new contracts, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Service Tech based in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be based on a Day Shift Monday - Friday roster, with a high chance of transitioning to a Full Time Permanent position for the right candidate.

What’s Involved:

• Perform scheduled maintenance, fault finding and troubleshooting on Locomotives

• Collaborating as part of a dynamic team

• Diagnostics, inspections and interpreting technical drawings

What We’re Looking For:

• Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter or Electrician

• Must have Lathe operation experience

• Must have proven experience in a maintenance environment - rolling stock preferred

• Rail and Locomotive experience desirable but not essential

• Overhead Crane ticket desirable

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

What We Offer You:

• $61 - $62 / hour - Casual rate

• Day shift Monday - Friday

• Some overtime available

• Ongoing work

• Based in Newcastle

• Immediate start
